I do realize that I’ve been talking up birthdays a lot lately: Bruce Springsteen, St. Vincent, Teddy Swims, Serena Williams, but it allows me to talk about so many different people.

And since Halsey likes Blink-182 the way I do. We’re talking about Halsey’s birthday today.

Halsey is an artist whose music always comes back to maintaining a unique identity. Regardless of what the world is doing, you have to keep that focus. For me – that’s my 5K Every Day streak.
