Here’s a good reminder about persistence. On this date back in 1988, UB40’s version of “Red Red Wine” finally hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100…

…four years after it first came out! Lead singer Ali Campbell later admitted they thought it was just a reggae song — they didn’t even know Neil Diamond wrote the original.
They covered it, they believed in it, and eventually… the world caught up.
