MTV Ban Lifted and George Michael was Enjoyed | Faith Run #303

5K EVERY DAY – Day #303

(Opening riff from “Faith” — that iconic acoustic guitar strum)

Earlier this week, I talked about how the “Centerfold” video from the J. Geils Band got me banned from MTV as a kid. Apparently, that punishment was lifted by 1987… because I definitely recall the video from this next song

(“I Want Your Sex”)

On this date – back in 1987 – George Michael stepped out on his own and released his debut solo album, Faith.

(“Faith” song hook – “If I could touch your body”)

Faith became a worldwide #1, winning the Grammy for Album of the Year.
He bet on himself — and he won.

I don’t think I’ll be winning a Grammy anytime soon, but I am doing what I can by betting on myself — one 5K at a time.
