Jeff Buckley Only Made One Album — Here’s Why It Still Echoes | 5K Day 321

5K EVERY DAY – Day #321

(Opening clip — the gentle intro of “Hallelujah”)

Today would’ve been the birthday of Jeff Buckley — born Scott Moorhead in Los Angeles.

(Clip — the opening guitar of “Last Goodbye”)

Jeff wasn’t always “Jeff Buckley.” To his family, he was just Scottie — a kid introduced to rock and roll by his stepfather, Ron Moorhead.

Ron played him Queen… Jimi Hendrix… Led Zeppelin — that music cracked something open inside of him.

(Short clip — a soaring vocal moment from “Grace”)

And when you listen to Grace, you can hear every one of those influences.
The guitar tone.
The range.
The emotion.
It’s all there.

Jeff Buckley poured everything he had into a single album — and it still echoes loudly decades later. So today, I tried to show up fully in my own way too.
Day 321 — I ran.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
“Be awake enough to see where you are at any given time and how that is beautiful.”
— Jeff Buckley

He would have been 59.
