This Album Title Came From a Fridge

MUSIC THAT MATTERS – “Lyric of the Day”

(Music Cut #1 – “Big Bang Baby” intro)

On March 26th of 1996…

Stone Temple Pilots released

Tiny Music… Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop.

(Music Cut #2 – “Big Bang Baby” hook)

That title sounds…

huge.

Dramatic.

But the name actually came from something really small

(Music Cut #3)

Refrigerator Magnets

The band had poetry magnets on the fridge –

and spotted the words:

“Tiny”
and “Music.”

They liked the contrast…

so they kept it.

(Music Cut #4)

LYRIC OF THE DAY:
“Does anybody know how the story really goes?
Or do we all just hum along.” – Stone Temple Pilots – “Big Bang Baby”
