They Only Meant to Use This Name for One Night

MUSIC THAT MATTERS – “Lyric of the Day”

(Music Cut #1 – :04 intro to “Kill Your Television”)

Released on April Fool’s Day, 1991…

Godfodder
was anything but a joke.

This was the debut album from…

Ned’s Atomic Dustbin.

(Music Cut #2 – rest of the intro to “Kill Your Television”)

And the sound…

wasn’t typical.

Two bass players.
One guitarist.

Because when they started…

almost all of them played bass.

(Music Cut #3)

And the name…

They just needed something
for a flyer.

First show.
So they picked one.

They planned to keep it…

for 24 hours.

They never changed it.

(Music Cut #4)

LYRIC OF THE DAY:
“Say I must be in a mess
Well let me guess what you suggest
You want me to smile
Well I’ll try.” – Ned’s Atomic Dustbin “Less Than Useful”
