Barenaked Ladies were turning a goofy sing-along

into something much bigger:

But one lyric in the song

accidentally created a concert tradition…

where the band basically had to beg fans to stop.

(Music Cut #3 of the “Kraft Dinner” line)

Fans started bringing boxes of Kraft Dinner…

Not one or two.

Hundreds.

And then throwing them on stage.

Eventually the band pleaded:

please stop throwing it at us…

and instead donate them to food banks.
