(Movies That Matter Intro)

Welcome to Movies That Matter, where we look at three movies worth knowing about before the weekend begins.

Anthony Bourdain is going back to the kitchen, Jason Statham’s new movie accidentally streamed before it even reached theaters, and celebrating it’s 25th birthday: The Fast and the Furious.

What’s new? Before Anthony Bourdain traveled the world and became one of TV’s most recognizable food personalities… he had to survive the restaurant kitchen.

Tony stars Dominic Sessa as a 19-year-old Bourdain, who stumbles into the chaotic restaurant world during a summer that would help shape the rest of his life.

And apparently, one movie coming out this weekend just couldn’t wait until the weekend.

So, if you happened to catch it… congratulations?

Jason Statham stars in Mutiny — but earlier this week, Amazon Prime Video accidentally made the entire movie available to stream for about an hour – then someone found the button to switch it back.

And finally, get the NOS ready.

The Fast and the Furious – the OG – is returning to theaters for its 25th anniversary.

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and company revved up a franchise that would eventually make it very clear that cars can just about do anything.
