MUSIC THAT MATTERS – “Lyric of the Day”

(Music Cut #1 – “Zombie”)

Released on October 3rd, 1994…

The Cranberries gave us their second album…

No Need to Argue…

featuring their monster hit, “Zombie.”

(Music Cut #2 – more “Zombie”)

While recording the album…

the band took a little break…

and went skiing.

Unfortunately, Dolores O’Riordan injured her knee…

and ended up in the hospital.

But – that didn’t stop her from writing music.

(Music Cut #3 – “No Need to Argue”)

She requested her acoustic guitar…

and right there in her hospital bed…

started writing a brand-new song.

That song became…

the album’s TITLE TRACK…

“No Need to Argue.”

(Music Cut #4 – “No Need to Argue”)
