MUSIC THAT MATTERS – “Lyric of the Day”

(Music Cut #1 – “Zoot Suit Riot”)

Back in October of 1997…

Cherry Poppin’ Daddies released…

one of the biggest songs…

of the swing revival.

“Zoot Suit Riot.”

(Music Cut #2 – “Zoot Suit Riot”)

And here’s something you might not know…

the song was written…

by a guy named Steve Perry.

Yep. Steve Perry.

(Music Cut #3 – Journey “Don’t Stop Believin'”)

Sorry.

Not THAT Steve Perry.

A completely different Steve Perry…

who just happens to be…

the lead singer of Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.

(Music Cut #4 – “Zoot Suit Riot”)
