MUSIC THAT MATTERS – “Lyric of the Day”

(Music Cut #1 — “Can’t Even Tell”)

Released on this day in 1994…

Kevin Smith gave us his first movie…

Clerks.

And along with it…

came a kick-ass alt-rock soundtrack.

(Music Cut #2 — “Can’t Even Tell”)

One of those songs came from Soul Asylum…

who had Smith direct the band’s music video.

But he didn’t exactly leave Clerks behind.

(Music Cut #3 — “Can’t Even Tell” music video)

Yup – he brought back the cast…

for another round of rooftop hockey!

Dante, Randal, Jay and Silent Bob…

all made it into Soul Asylum’s music video.

(Music Cut #4 — “Can’t Even Tell”)
