Rudolph redo – Lewis Black as the head elf? / “Deck the Toilet” short as a video? / Winston Churchill quote

morning babble / Tuesday 12-21-21

This is the scribble that leads to the babble. Sometimes it gets tidied up, but sometimes . . . not so much. When all else fails – go watch the video!

Welcome to the Shortest Day of the Year / First Day of Winter / Only gets colder though – no warmth yet except for holiday warmth – awwwww.

I ran. #355 of 5K runs for the year! Countdown to Three Sixty-Six continues.

Saw Rudolph last night – Donner and Santa were a couple jerks to Rudolph. Comedian Lewis Black could play the head elf: “Now, you come to practice and learn how to wiggle your ears and chuckle warmly and go hee hee and ho ho and important stuff like that.”

“If it wasn’t for my horse, I wouldn’t have spent that year in college.”

354 days in a row of 5K runs / This Sunday (12/26) – it appears I’ll reach my Black Level on the Nike App.

Better Monday because my son will be with me? Maybe?

Still driving my Jeep instead of a company vehicle which bears logos, websites, and phone numbers all over it. You have a tendency to drive a little differently. My wife drove the company vehicle and proved why you need to behave.

Best compliment to give a woman / The review of Spotify’s 100 Greatest Christmas Songs Ever

morning babble / Thursday 12-16-21

This is the scribble that leads to the babble. Sometimes it gets tidied up, but sometimes . . . not so much. When all else fails – go watch the video!

Remember – they (Spotify) called it the 100 Greatest Christmas Songs Ever – I didn’t.

4 Kylie Minogue songs? / Rick Astley / Clarence Carter singing “Back Door Santa” by the way if you haven’t heard him singing the song “Strokin'” – well, you should go off and listen to that sometime.

The only time that Frank Sinatra appeared on the list was with Kyle Minogue and they were singing “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” And again, I’m sorry Kylie, but everyone wants to hear the Cyndi Lauper / Sinatra version.

Baby – it’s cold outside / Don’t Cosby up the drink. Anyway – the other line that always jumps out to me is the “your hair looks swell”. You aren’t getting anywhere with that line. Plus, everybody knows that a way to a woman’s heart – compliment the shoes.

I ran – #350! That’s a big number.

Guess what . . . I ran for the 349th time in a row! / 100 Greatest Christmas Songs Ever? Says Spotify

morning babble / Wednesday 12-15-21

This is the scribble that leads to the babble. Sometimes it gets tidied up, but sometimes . . . not so much. When all else fails – go watch the video!

So recently, I haven’t been listening to my Morning Babble Wake-up playlist. Instead, I’m working on my Morning Babble Ho Ho Holiday Playlist. Spotify put together a playlist of the 100 Greatest Christmas Songs Ever – that’s 5 hours and 32 minutes of music. I’ll “release” it on Friday. Eliminate some of these “I’m Gonnas.” Video of the quote board and village coming.

Village is soothing / Looking for holiday music that I can play behind it.

How’s everyone doing? Hitting those year-end goals? Still looking for change?

Eggnog latte & new dark roast – enjoyed! / Staying motivated / Plato quote

morning babble / Tuesday 12-14-21

This is the scribble that leads to the babble. Sometimes it gets tidied up, but sometimes . . . not so much. When all else fails – go watch the video!

I ran #348 in a row! A lot of people do ask me how do I get motivated to go do my run every day. For one, I’m being held accountable by this vloggin’ video. But – I also truly look forward to the various podcasts that I listen to. In fact, yesterday, I saw that the new Dave Chang Podcast dropped. I didn’t listen right away, but instead saved it for this morning’s run. I wasn’t even thinking about the run this morning. I just wanted to get on the mill in order to enjoy my podcast.

New coffee was purchased this weekend. Family visited Brew Haha in Greenville. AND – they had eggnog latte. I was so happy and it was so good. Also, picked up a dark roast bean from a local roaster – the Brandywine Coffee Roasters. It’s Brazil Lengender.

Podcast Learning via Ryan Holiday: Catherine Baab-Muguira, the author of Poe for Your Problems: Uncommon Advice from History’s Least Likely Self-Help Guru

Really enjoyed their chat – how life was back then / how it was stressed that not all geniuses go crazy, just like how all the crazies aren’t geniuses / Holiday pointed out how Marcus Aurelius had 11 children and lost 8 of them. Baltimore Ravens . . . to some – obviously names after a poet’s famous poem. Not too many know that though.

The problem that I have is I feel that I need to have a certain amount of my business work completed in order to free my mind and get creative.  I can’t break away from that.  I’m trying – carried around my Duck idea journal and the short I want to update & post.  Did I do anything with them? Nope. Meditation might be the answer to help me control my mind better.

I ran – #346 of the 5K runs for the year

Listening to Dave Chang Podcast and Hot Pot – I think I need to revisit them.
