Loved: Eat A Peach by David Chang / More love for Tastykake / Donate for St. Jude run, please!

morning babble / Sunday 09-19-21

This is the scribble that leads to the babble. Sometimes it gets tidied up, but sometimes . . . not so much. When all else fails – go watch the video!

More Tastykake love again today. So, yesterday I sadly reported that all the Butterscotch Krimplets were inhaled in the house of Evans, including a Little Debbie box of Pumpkin Spice Rolls, which I had gotten because of . . . them being “Pumpkin Spice”. I was then notified of Tastykake having “Pumpkin Spice Cupkakes” and placing it on my family’s grocery list. Well, I have loyal fan who tolerates these babbles and delivered a box to the house yesterday. Do I call her “Mom”? Maybe. But I am still very grateful. Thanks, Mom.

I ran my 5K with a friend of mine (Sal). Actually did a little over 5 miles and that felt good. Different area. Good tough hills. #262. This week on the mill. I will speed it up and get ready for next weekend for the Virtual 5K run for the St. Jude Walk/Run (Philadelphia) – for donations – click here or read more down below! And THEN, the very next day, I’ll be doing the Faithful Friends 5K run at Bellevue State Park in Wilmington. In person that one.

Books on a Sunday!

  • I finished the Eat A Peach (a memoir) from David Chang – loved it. I related to him in so many different ways that I had no idea of. He’s very real throughout the book. Tells some really tough soul searching stories as well as the journeys that he pushed through. At the very end, I did enjoy his 33 Rules for Becoming a Chef.

IMPORTANT – Reminder: I’m doing the 5K run for the St. Jude Walk/Run in Philadelphia on Saturday, September 25th. I’ve joined the team – XTU to the Maxx – which is with Charlie Maxx who you can hear middays on 92.5 XTU.  To donate, please click here – anything you can do will be greatly appreciated for this great cause. “St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer”

Please subscribe on YouTube and spread the Babble wherever you can – Thank you!
