Yesterday…

we talked about an a band that helped inspire Nirvana.

On September 24th, 1991…

Nirvana released the album…

that changed everything.

Nevermind.

And one song on Nevermind…

wasn’t really supposed to be a song at all.

Nirvana was struggling through a take of “Lithium”…

then Kurt Cobain got frustrated…

and the band just exploded into a noisy jam.

Producer Butch Vig kept the tape rolling.

(Music Cut #4 – “Endless, Nameless”)

That meltdown became…

“Endless, Nameless.”

It was supposed to be the hidden track on Nevermind…

after nearly ten minutes of silence.

Except…

the first copies of the album accidentally didn’t include it.

So Nirvana accidentally CREATED a song…

and then accidentally forgot to put it on the album.
