MUSIC THAT MATTERS – “Lyric of the Day”

(Music Cut #1 — Shania Twain, “That Don’t Impress Me Much”)

Released on this day…

back in 1997…

Shania Twain gave us her album Come On Over…

featuring “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”

(Music Cut #2)

Part of this song…

Was inspired by a Christmas cookie-baking session!

While the other part – a little bit of Hollywood gossip.

(Music Cut #3)

Apparently, Shania and a friend were talking about some nude photos of Brad Pitt that had appeared in Playgirl magazine!

And Shania couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about!

I guess Brad just didn’t impress her much!

(Music Cut #4 — Shania Twain, “That Don’t Impress Me Much”)

LYRIC OF THE DAY:
“You think you’re cool but have you got the touch?
Now don’t get me wrong, yeah, I think you’re alright
But that won’t keep me warm on the long, cold, lonely night.”

– Shania Twain, “That Don’t Impress Me Much”
