Toad the Wet Sprocket had “Good Intentions”…

and then…

ended up hanging out with six Friends.

But “Good Intentions” wasn’t actually new.

They recorded it during the sessions

for their 1991 album Fear…

but left it off.

So how did the leftover finally get released?

Friends.

“Good Intentions” found a home on the show’s original soundtrack…

alongside R.E.M., Lou Reed…

and, of course, The Rembrandts.

So a song that didn’t make Fear…

eventually made Friends.
