First full day of the 3 Day Fast – it’s the easy one. Body hasn’t caught on yet to what you’re doing to it. Until you come home and smell dinner and it smells so good. Can’t eat until 5:55PM on Thursday.
LoCARB & MEATY MAY is easy these next 3 days
Workouts – I was going to run today, but yesterday and today are tough days for work, so I chose to skip it. I’m hoping to do another regular workout tomorrow – trying to build up my strength for the push-up challenge. I am improving! Arms don’t hurt any more during my sleeping position – the army crawl?

PODCAST TUESDAY!
Haven’t been able to listen as much as I typically would. Lately, I have been working with someone, so that eliminates all my podcast time in the car. AND – I don’t want to entirely put them through all of my philosophies of life.
Audio books are another form of podcast and I hit a wall there too, but for a different reason. Typically, I listen to those around the house on the weekends. The book that I got stuck on was Will Smith’s. I stopped. I just couldn’t. Still don’t quite understand all of that. Anyway, just this morning, I went in and picked another audiobook that I had purchased months ago and have no idea why. Steven Kotler – The Art of the Impossible

12th Annual Blue Hen 5K – part of the Alumni Weekend / I signed up, so did my friend, Greg. It’s on Sunday, June 5th – race begins at 9:30am
GOAL SETTING MONDAY & REVIEW –
Fails –
Thursday – Burger King
Friday – Jeni’s Ice Cream
Saturday – Lots of Chip & Dip, plenty of IPA beverage, and then Desserts by Dana
Sunday – Popcorn at the Movie Theatre – The Mom of the house wanted the family to go and see the new Dr. Strange movie . . . so that’s what we did – Happy Mommy’s Day.
Accomplishments –
No Dunkin Donuts – all week. I never stopped – saved money AND didn’t get the extra carbs or the sugar / Less snacking – really
Weight +/- for the day is -6 lbs when compared to 5/1 weigh-in
Push-ups done for the Bring Sally Up Challenge – 14
The “Bring Sally Up” Challenge 1 Play the song “Flower” by Moby 2 When the song says “bring sally up” – push up. 3 When the song says bring sally down – come down. 4 Do it continually through the end of the song. 5 If you complete the entire exercise, you’ll do 30 reps of pushups

This is where I went wrong. I also had Cream & Sugar Coffee ICE CREAM from Jeni’s ice cream. I wasn’t going to have anything but then . . . the moment with the family took me to the dessert of ice cream glory on a waffle cone.

Mother’s Day on Sunday / Hanging with some friends on Saturday night / and tonight is something special for my family: Black Pistol Fire at the Foundry in Philly! The kids are coming. Elliott’s 2nd real concert. Violet’s 1st one. Kevin and Eric – we’re the parents with the 2 little ones.
Music News: Eminem and Dolly Parton are in for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Like both of them. The class is rounded out by Duran Duran, Lionel Richie, Carly Simon, Pat Benatar, and Eurythmics. Some of my favorites who were nominated but didn’t make the cut: Beck, A Tribe Called Quest, and Rage Against the Machine

HAPPY FRIDAY EVE and HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO! – wish I could join everyone who is going out and about today to celebrate. Good ole days – Reminds me of my radio days where my job was to go to a bar, broadcast live – all while drinking, eating nachos, and hanging with people that enjoyed the music I was playing.

I ran and it hurt again. Yesterday was a lower body workout. My quads, calves, you name it were burning when I woke. That app with Igor Voitenko – well, worth my ten bucks for the month.
Otherwise, with the LoCARB & MEATY MAY – I’m feeling good / Weighing all my foods / Avoiding sugar. We were over at my parents house (Nana & Pop’s) because our washer is broke, so that’s what you do – hey guys – please welcome us every day until the repair guy can visit us in July. My daughter comes with me and hits the candy dish. You know if you have one, you want another and then another. I was good. She wasn’t, but she did get some for her big brother – so that was nice.
